Hi Hazel,

If we look at the full scripture of Acts of the Apostles, chapter 12, you will see how much it led to the death of the King:

Peter’s Arrest and Deliverance

Now about that time ]Herod the king laid hands on some who belonged to the church in order to mistreat them. 2 And he had James the brother of John put to death with a sword. 3 When he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter also. Now it was during the days of Unleavened Bread. 4 When he had seized him, he put him in prison, delivering him to four squads of soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to bring him out before the people. 5 So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made fervently by the church to God.

6 On the very night when Herod was about to bring him forward, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and guards in front of the door were watching over the prison. 7 And behold, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared and a light shone in the cell; and he struck Peter’s side and woke him up, saying, “Get up quickly.” And his chains fell off his hands. 8 And the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and put on your sandals.” And he did so. And he said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.” 9 And he went out and continued to follow, and he did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. 10 When they had passed the first and second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened for them by itself; and they went out and went along one street, and immediately the angel departed from him. 11 When Peter came to himself, he said, “Now I know for sure that the Lord has sent forth His angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.” 12 And when he realized this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John who was also called Mark, where many were gathered together and were praying. 13 When he knocked at the door of the gate, a servant-girl named Rhoda came to answer. 14 When she recognized Peter’s voice, because of her joy she did not open the gate, but ran in and announced that Peter was standing in front of the gate. 15 They said to her, “You are out of your mind!” But she kept insisting that it was so. They kept saying, “It is his angel.” 16 But Peter continued knocking; and when they had opened the door, they saw him and were amazed. 17 But motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he described to them how the Lord had led him out of the prison. And he said, “Report these things to James and the brethren.” Then he left and went to another place.

18 Now when day came, there was no small disturbance among the soldiers as to what could have become of Peter. 19 When Herod had searched for him and had not found him, he examined the guards and ordered that they be led away to execution. Then he went down from Judea to Caesarea and was spending time there.

Death of Herod

20 Now he was very angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon; and with one accord they came to him, and having won over Blastus the king’s chamberlain, they were asking for peace, because their country was fed by the king’s country. 21 On an appointed day Herod, having put on his royal apparel, took his seat on the rrostrum and began delivering an address to them. 22 The people kept crying out, “The voice of a god and not of a man!” 23 And immediately an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died.

24 But the word of the Lord continued to grow and to be multiplied.

25 And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had fulfilled their mission, taking along with them John, who was also called Mark.

Breaking the Chains to Liberation

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deliverance_of_Saint_Peter

The thirteenth principle is the Principle of Cephas, who was the Prince of the Apostles. This designation was bestowed when Cephas/Peter was liberated from bondage by an angel just prior to being executed with James. This liberation symbolizes his achievement of the seventh degree of Christian Initiation, which concerns reunification with God the Father. Henceforth, he taught a form of initiation science concerning the psychic life of soul and spirit that served to knit the fine bones at the top of the skull for thinking. While Paul ministered to the uncircumcised brethren (Gentiles), Cephas ministered this form of esoteric development to the circumcised Jewish adherents. The twelfth principle is the pineal gland, located one centimeter behind the forehead, between the eyes, and represents the highest organ of the Astral Body, or Mind. Below this are the lower organs of same. What is remarkable about the pineal gland is that it undergoes a process of contraction in the first 3-1/2 years of life in order to effect the time sense and biological clock of our bodily experience. Thus arises our present level of materialistic consciousness. Re-expansion of the contracted pineal gland requires special training, which is known as Spiritual Science.

Acts of the Apostles is filled with the mostly secret relationship between Peter and Paul. Remember what the Risen Christ tells of Saul in chapter 9 of Acts:

13 But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he did to Your saints at Jerusalem; 14 and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your name.” 15 But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; 16 for I will show him how much he must suffer for My name’s sake.”

22 At that time the Feast of the Dedication took place at Jerusalem; 23 it was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple in the portico of Solomon. John 10

The Feast of the Maccabees (Hanuka)is a late November-December feast.

The Roman alliance of Judas Maccabeus involved bringing down the last true school of the ancient mysteries, which was a Mithras Mystery. The father Maccabee, Mattathias, invades the holy sanctuary where an initiation is taking place, and kills the neophyte and the Hierophant Priest using his Maccabee (hammer) as a weapon of murder. That is how Rome took control, and externalized "the Cult of the Unconquered Sun", which Julian the Apostate would eventually detect. Judas would go on to make his next alliance with the Sanhedrin for the betrayal of Christ as Judas Iscariot. Thus, no hero in either story.

Yet, in fact, with regard to Judas Iscariot, there is more to the story. It could even prove to be redemptive:

3 Then when Judas, who had betrayed Him, saw that He had been condemned, he felt remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 4 saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” But they said, “What is that to us? See to that yourself!” 5 And he threw the pieces of silver into the temple sanctuary and departed; and he went away and hanged himself. 6 The chief priests took the pieces of silver and said, “It is not lawful to put them into the temple treasury, since it is the price of blood.” 7 And they conferred together and with the money bought the Potter’s Field as a burial place for strangers. 8 For this reason that field has been called the Field of Blood to this day. 9 Then that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of the one whose price had been set by the sons of Israel; 10 and they gave them for the Potter’s Field, as the Lord directed me.” Matthew 27

Then, as well, we have the words of Peter in Acts of the Apostles:

15 At this time Peter stood up in the midst of the brethren (a gathering of about one hundred and twenty persons was there together), and said, 16 “Brethren, the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit foretold by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus. 17 For he was counted among us and received his share in this ministry.” 18 (Now this man acquired a field with the price of his wickedness, and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his intestines gushed out. 19 And it became known to all who were living in Jerusalem; so that in their own language that field was called Hakeldama, that is, Field of Blood.) 20 “For it is written in the book of Psalms,

‘Let his homestead be made desolate,

And let no one dwell in it’;

and,

‘Let another man take his office.’ Acts, chapter !
